The society that I grew up in, the money that was used for everyday use was made out of copper. Middle-class society dealt mostly in silver. The upper echelon dealt in gold. Gold & silver coinage reflect the societies wealth. Copper was at the bottom of the totem pole. These days, a societies wealth is measured in paper, plastic, & random numbers on a computer. People who dealt in copper coins were considered paupers. Use your brain power; what does it say about a society that uses paper & plastic to measure its' wealth in?
