True freedom and security is an inner state. It can not be imposed through a set of external circumstances. Once you find what never changes, your freedom and your inner security is guaranteed.
Over the past 18 years, I have met many people who have told me, "I'm American, dude! I'm free!" My response has always been the same, "Free of what?"
Fear?

Anger?
Violence?
